ALB is a two day festival in Colchester. Friday evening was a 'Proms in the Park' style show with a 40 piece orchestra plus choir, performing a selection of movie theme tunes and popular classical pieces. Saturday was band day with a wide variety of musical styles. Nathan Hernando-Gozalo is the sole front of house engineer for the entire weekend, apart from one guest engineer. Mixing a large orchestra with no rehearsal and no soundcheck is a huge challenge, but one that he relishes and is an extremely exhilarating show to mix. Saturday is more of a standard festival show, with fast changeovers and whole gamut of music.
